GENERAL SIR INFORMATION
BRANCH 94 INFORMATION
Sons In Retirement (SIR) is a nonprofit public benefit corporation for retired men, devoted to the promotion of independence and dignity of retirement.  SIR's purpose is to encourage men to be as active as they desire, to help to renew former friendships, and provide opportunities to make new friends through association with other retirees.

The only requirement for membership is that a man be retired.  Membership is open to men retired from FULLTIME gainful occupation, regardless of age, race, color or religion.  We, your fellow retired men from nearly all professions,  invite all who meet these criteria to consider joining SIR Branch 94. See instructions at the bottom of this page.

Founded in 1958 for strict enjoyment of retired men, the SIR organization has grown to 176 branches with over 25,000 members in Northern California.  There are no initiation fees.  In lieu of dues, an opportunity to contribute to the expenses of the branch is encouraged.  Volunteers man all office and administrative positions from the statewide organization down through the Region, Area, and the local Branch.  The SIR organization exists strictly for the enjoyment and dignity of retired men.
The SIR organization in northern California is divided into 10 Regions with up to 4 Areas per Region and up to 7 Branches per Area.  Branch 94 is in Region 7, which has 26 branches and Area 5 with 7 branches.

With a membership of 236 and growing, we are the largest branch in Region 7.

Some of the benefits of joining our SIR's organization:
1.No initial or annual membership fees, dues, or paid personnel.  We are all volunteers.
2.Excellent monthly luncheon meetings, including Top-Quality speakers, for only $14.
3.Many events are planned each month such as Golf and Bowling.
4.Special events include our Mothers Day and Christmas luncheon with spouses, local tours,                  National tours, international tours, and professional sport outings.
6.If your interest is in RV'ing, Square Dancing, Bridge, Bocce Ball, etc, you will find a great                  group of guys that share those same interests.
Every potential member must have a sponsor. If you are interested in enjoying your retirement, please call Pat Smith at 408-356-6885 or                   by email as he would like to be your "Guest Sponsor" at one of our monthly luncheons .  Enjoy a free lunch and a great group of other retirees.  This will be the best call of your retirement.
